Facebook’s first accelerator program in Asia kicks off, welcoming 11 startups

Startup Station Singapore, a free six months accelerator program jointly launched by Facebook and Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), announced its first batch of startups, four months after its official launch in October 2018. The first batch is made up of 11 data-driven tech businesses from around Asia.

The 11 selected startups come from a wide variety of industries, from tourism and hospitality to health and education. They include several Singapore-based startups like Jumper.ai, Peoplewave, Envolve, Vouch, and Waitrr.

Designed for fast-growing startups focusing on leveraging data to accelerate growth, this program is open only to data-driven startups with a business focus in Southeast Asia. It will provide the selected startups with access to mentorships by industry leaders and regulatory sandbox facilitated by the IMDA, Facebook programs and resources, co-working spaces, as well as connections to investors.

Startup Station Singapore is Facebook’s second data innovation startup program globally and the first in Asia. The program kicked off on 18th February and will end in August 2019.
